Central's varsity girls volleyball team went 5-0 in at the seven team Kenosha Krush tournament. In the championship game, Central defeated host Kenosha Tremper in straight sets.
On the day Cental defeated Indian Trail (25-20, 25-20), Oak Creek (26-24, 25-15), and Zion Benton (25-14, 25-17). The three wins propelled the Falcons into the Gold Division bracket. In the medal play the Falcons continued their dominance by defeating Christian Life (25-15, 25-18) and Kenosha Tremper (25-23, 25-15).
"We are proving to ourselves that we are becoming a much better team with each outing", said Coach Berg. "I am very proud of each and every girl. Tanika Johnson stepped in today and ran a 6-2 offense and directed it very well. Danielle Stachura displayed her versatility, as she was called up to do some hitting. The girls are responding so it is a step in the right direction".
Leading the Falcons were Stachura (18 digs, 68 assists, and 9 aces), Maddie Brown (51 kills, 6 aces, 5 blocks, and 21 digs), Leah Blair (22 digs), Sarah Blair (22 digs), Devin Gillespie (15 kills), and Kaeley Mueller (21 kills).
