Westosha went 2-2 and finished tying for 5th place at the Brookfield Central Invite. Central opened play by defeating Milwaukee Pius (25-22, 26-24) and Greenfield (25-20, 25-15) and lost to Brookfield East (25-19, 25-13) and Appleton North 25-19, 25-13).
"Today we took some steps forward and started to really get our middles involved", said Coach Berg. "High-level tournaments are creating opportunities for us to become a better team. It exposes weaknesses in our team when we play at high levels, which is what we need. Today, we take the positives out of this and go back to practice ready to work on Monday".
Central was led by Maddie Brown (21 kills, 25 digs), Kaeley Mueller (29 kills, 4 blocks), Sarah Blair (34 digs), and Danielle Stachura (75 assists, 25 digs).
