Playing its Southern Lakes Conference home opener, the sixth-ranked Central girls volleyball team swept Lake Geneva Badger 25-12, 25-19, 25-19 on Thursday night.
Maddie Brown and Kaeley Mueller led Central with 12 kills apiece. Danielle Stachura tallied a team-high 26 assists, and Brow, Sarah Blair and Stachura each chipped in a team-high eight digs.
"Badger was relentless tonight," Coach Berg said. "They played with a lot of heart and effort. We did not execute well. I give credit to Badger who put balls in play and made us play defense."
"Overall, we were not happy with our execution. On a positive note, we need to build on what happened tonight and know what is ahead of us, and that our work is cut out for us. We will improrve."
