Head Coach

Varsity Football

Serving as our Head Varsity Coach, Coach Mengel's background in athletics began in Sparta, Michigan.  As a high school athlete, he earned 10 varsity letters in football, basketball and track.  Coach Mengel was the first athlete from his high school to participate in the Michigan High School Football All Star game.  

After high school, Coach Mengel attended Carthage College and earned his degree in history and broad field social sciences with a minor in secondary education.  As a four year letter earn of the Red Men football team, Coach Mengel earned All CCIW honors and served as team captain.

Begin his teaching career at Harborside Academy in Kenosha, WI, Coach Mengel taught Social Studies for 5 years.  While at Harborside, he coached in 2009 at Westosha Central and 2010-2012 at Carthage College.  Coach Mengel has been the Head Coach at Central since 2013.

Personally, he lives in Kenosha, WI with his wife Rhianna.
