Head Coach

JV1 Softball

I have been coaching JV1 softball at Central for two seasons now and absolutely love it. I have been asked to come back and coach at Central every year since I graduated and I have finally been able to fit it into my busy schedule. I am an alumni Central softball third basemen and pitcher. I have been playing softball for nearly 20 years and played on numerous travel teams playing in many different states. I currently play on numerous slow-pitch softball teams throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall. I planned on continuing my softball career at UW-Parkside as a third basemen but my educational goals and future dreams of becoming a nurse were my priority at that time. I ended up transferring to Columbia College of Nursing where I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I definitely made the right choice because now I have my dream job as a Pediatric Registered Nurse and absolutely love going to work every day! My passion is Pediatric Oncology and I look forward to working in that field one day. While in nursing school, I worked for the office of the Medical Examiner in Kenosha County for close to 6 years and became a Deputy Medical Examiner. The JV softball girls were always fascinated about the numerous things I have seen or done at that job and never ran out of questions for me. Now the girls love asking me medical questions of any nature assuming I have all the answers! I have been coaching on and off for many years. I assisted my dad with pitching clinics that he started when I was younger, coached 12u and 14u girls travel softball teams, and have been asked to assist or be a pitching coach for other teams in the area. I absolutely love coaching for many reasons. The biggest reason is that I love being in on the excitement of the games again and seeing the girls' elation when they win or achieve a goal they didn't think was in reach. Being a part of making a player grow not only as a softball player but a person too is the biggest reward in coaching and I can't imagine doing anything else. In my spare time I like to play softball, volleyball, golf, spend time with my nieces and nephew, sit around bonfires with my friends and family, travel, and relax. I am engaged to an amazing man named Dave and we are actively planning our wedding. After that, we will start our family and hope to have little softball/baseball players running around training to become future Central High School all-stars!
