The boys and girls cross country teams swept the Southern Lakes Conference Relays at Fox River Park.

On the girls side, the team defended its title by dominating the rest of the field. Central had a combined time of 103:59.2 seconds, while Burlington finished second with a combined time of 109:08.6 seconds. The girls were led by defending champion Melissa Capra who ran the 5k in 19:40.9 seconds. Capra was joined by her freshman sister, Meghan who finished second with a time o 19:57.0. Also running well for the Falcons were Maria Sabourin (4th - 21:10.2) Maddie Murphy (5th - 21.27.3) Julia Alberth (6th - 21:37.5)  Rebecca Lamp (21:39.0), and Mackenzie Maccaux (4th - 21:50.6).

"Melissa ran a smart, strong race as did her sister, Meghan", said Coach Olsen. The remaining senior quartet of Sabourin, Murphy, Alberth, and Lamp finished a strong and complete team effort".  

"Overall we ran terrific tonight", said Coach Olsen. "Throughout our lineup our kids came to race and raced well. Tonight definitely set the stage for a tough, competitive conference meet in October".
