The boys and girls cross country teams swept the Southern Lakes Conference Relays at Fox River Park.
On the boys side, Central was able to edge out defending conference champion and state qualifier Lake Geneva Badger. The combined times were less than two seconds apart from one another, with Badger having a total of 87:36.9 to Central's 87:38.6.
"Overall we ran terrific tonight", said Coach Olsen. "Throughout our lineup our kids came to race and raced well. Tonight definitely set the stage for a tough, competitive conference meet in October".
Central's boys team was led by Shane McNealy ( 2nd - 16:42.1), Jacob Hebior (3rd - 16:44.8), Lucas Leydens (9th - 17:59.6) and Matt Holloway (10th - 18:00).
"Shane and Jacob put us in good position and the rest of our pack stepped up, closed the gap and won the meet in the last 400 meters" Olsen said.
