Bob Tierney, Class of 2004
Robert (Bob) Tierney was one of the most decorated boys’ golfers in Westosha Central history. Bob was an instrumental member of three conference championships. His teams finished 3rd in 2002, 2nd in 2003 and 3rd in 2004 at the WIAA Boys Golf Regional. During his senior year, Bob was named All-Conference, Conference Player of the Year and All-County. Additionally, he set the season nine-hole school record (37.5).
Following his graduation from CHS, Bob attended the University of Wisconsin–Parkside were he competed collegiately for the Rangers. While in college he was a member of the 2005 Conference Championship. He is seventh overall in Parkside history with an average of 74.80. Additionally, he holds the Parkside record for 36 holes with a 138 (Par 144) played at Cherry Blossom in Georgetown, Kentucky. Following his playing days at Parkside, Bob turned professional and became a golf pro at Brighton Dale. He won the Kenosha County Open Championship in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Bob finished 26th in 2012 and 10th in 2014 at the Wisconsin State Open. He served as the head golf professional at Brighton Dale in 2013 and then at Rivermoor in 2014. Since 2014 he was worked for Nike Golf as a sales representative. First in Wisconsin, then South Carolina and currently in Ohio.
